Hopefully I can just do my thing and prove it to the coaches and my teammates. It'll be a whole lot of fun, and I just want to get in there and compete." Gentry's coach at Eldorado High School, Charlie Dotson, thinks that his quarterback's best football is ahead of him. Dotson cites Gentry's poise in big moments and his work ethic as reasons why he's confident that his star will make a splash in Ann Arbor. "He'll go as far as his work ethic takes him," Dotson said. "It's going to be his work ethic that defines him. He's going to have to compete for the job and he knows that. The hardest worker in that quarterback group is probably going to get the job. and I'm interested to see how he handles that. "He'll go in and work hard to try to get those linemen on his side and win everyone over. I think he has a huge ceiling. I'm sure that's what brought Coach Harbaugh to him. I think Zach can go as far as he wants to go. "When Zach played against the best teams, he had his best games. As the competition went up, his play went up."
