NOTABLE High School GPA: 3.8. Planned Major: Sports business. Favorite Michigan Athlete: Tom Brady. Favorite Pro Player: Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre. Other Schools Considered: Ala- bama, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Texas. Date Of Official Visit To Michigan: Jan. 23, 2015. QUOTABLE Jim Harbaugh's Comments: "Zach is a leader by example, who has dedi- cated himself to his goals. In addition to his gift of size and athleticism, Zach has always worked hard during the offseason throwing and working on footwork, weights and nutrition. I know his family is very proud of the hard work and effort that Zach has put in to be in the position that he is today. We at Michigan are fortunate to call him one of our own." Tom Lemming of Prep Football Re- port: "He's got the height. He's Jim Harbaugh's type of quarterback, like a Tom Brady or Andrew Luck-type quarterback. He's big, he's got a strong arm. He's not a super runner, but he can get himself out of trouble. He's a major catch for Michigan so late in the year." Why Gentry Chose Michigan: "I chose Michigan because of the tradi- tion and the history. The momentum with the new coaching staff was too good to pass up." Head Coach's Comments: "His arm, combined with his footwork, and ob- viously his size — he can see over the line and he does a good job with that — stand out," Eldorado coach Charles Dotson said. "I think his athletic ability stands out. He's all of 6-6. His feet are really good, and he runs really well. The positive things about him are the big arm, and he has feet to go along with it."
