FROM OUR READERS days when Michigan had a stable of dangerous runners. Kevin G. Smith Orange, Calif. The enthusiasm is obviously war- ranted, Kevin G. But we've got a bone to pick with a couple of your takes. In Lloyd Carr's last years as head coach, the Wolverines went to the Rose Bowl following the 2003 and 2004 seasons, wound up a play or two away from the national championship game (and back in the Rose Bowl) in 2006, and could have won the Big Ten in 2007 had Chad Henne not come up with a bum arm. As for Mike Hart, he might not make your top-10 list, but he's on Michigan's — No. 1 in career rushing yards, with 5,040. We'd add that the better the of- fensive line gets (and it's going to be on the rise), the more dangerous pres- ent and future Michigan tailbacks will become. PROVEN TRACK RECORD Dear The Wolverine: I am and have always been a Jim Harbaugh fan. His past coaching record has been superb, and I am looking for the Michigan football program to rise to the top once again. His mother graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleve- land, Ohio, the year after I did. John Bodmer Via the Internet All of the Harbaughs escaped Ohio, John, and now the Buckeyes might be- gin to again feel the pain. Buckle up … it's going to be a wild ride. 1-800-421-7751 • www.TheWolverineOnDemand.com Michigan BaBy gift ideas VISIT OUR ONLINE STORE! for
