They think he's a blue-chipper that people didn't real- ize because he committed so early to Michigan. He's a catch for them." Why Malzone Chose Michigan: "I chose Michigan because it was the best fit for me. Compared to all the other schools, I felt like Michigan was best academically and athletically. I definitely felt a great connection with Michigan and the old coaching staff. We'll have the mindset to bring Michi- gan back to where it was, and I'm very excited to be a part of that." Head Coach's Comments: "One of the things that made him a good leader is he made the guys around him better," Brother Rice coach Dave Sofran said. "He didn't do it in a con- frontational or in-your-face way — he led by example. He just kind of had a knack when things were on the line."
