How would you introduce yourself?
I am Digital Niyabinghi, aka Paul Ibiza
of Ibiza Records Label, and one of the
inventors of Jungle (Techno). That's part
of my history and now my new genre is
Jungle Dub.
Describe the Jungle Dub Sound?
Jungle Dub is an extension of Jungle and
has returned back to the sound system
culture days of old, that's why we refer to
Jungle Dub as a sound system music. It's
a musical fusion of Dub, Culture, Roots,
Niyabinghi beats, Reggae and Jungle.
What have you been up to recently?
Really positive vibes right now as I've
been promoting a new concept called
"Dub4Life" and had the pleasure of being
the resident DJ at the launch night just
last month at Electric Brixton.
When are you planning on releasing the
tunes?
Not for some time as Jungle Dub is not for
sale right now. It's all about nurturing the
style of music. We don't need any more
imposters. Really it's not about money,
it's more about building a scene.
What is your tune of the day?
Bob Marley and The Wailers early release
before the fame called 'Long time we nuh
have no nice time'
What are you most excited for in 2015?
When you plant a seed and start to see it
grow - that puts a smile on your face.
You have your own sound system, where
can we hear that next?
Yes I'm at POW Brixton next month on
7th March with the full sound system
alongside heavyweights Channel One,
Ragga Twins and guests.
If you could play at one festival/club/
event anywhere in the world where
would it be?
That can only be back home on the
sunshine island of Jamaica in the hills at
Kingston Dub Club.
Where can people link with you?
