92 FROM THE ROUGH As superintendents, we all rely on our irriga- tion systems to be efficient and properly irrigate the golf course. In the last few years, I have made some major changes to the irrigation system at The Plateau Club in Seattle. I revamped our pump station and added another pump and motor to increase total flow to close my window of watering time. I also changed out several heads, added sever- al new ones, changed out satellites and upgrad- ed my Site Pro irrigation computer controller. Improving the effectiveness of your irriga- tion system will range from minimal changes to major ones. Each summer on my daily course check I will make a list of the areas that need improvement.
