Purdue likes in-
side linebacker
recruit Wyatt
Cook's physical-
ity and tough-
ness between
the tackles and
fellow signee
Sawyer Daw-
son's safety-like speed on the outside.
In Bailey, the Boilermaker coach-
ing staff believes it might have a
cross between both extremes, a ver-
satile linebacker who may not do any-
thing well, but several things well.
"I think I have a really food football
IQ and my ability to decide when to
make certain reads and plays is pret-
ty strong," Bailey said. "I can get off
blocks really well, and I think I have
very good game speed and I'm a very
sure tackler."
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Bailey
said Purdue hasn't specified which
linebacker position he'll be locked
into, if any, but he may be capable of
fitting in at any of them, that versatil-
ity being part of the draw for Darrell
Hazell and his staff.

Markus Bailey's versatility to play any of the linebacker positions and his football
IQ were a draw for Purdue.
