providing the driver with a more comfortable ride at higher speeds." Redesigned two-stage coil over springs reduce noise as the shock moves through its travel. The lighter progressive rate upper coil spring absorbs small impacts while the stiffer main spring maintains ground clearance under load and absorbs larger impacts in rough terrain. When combined to the vehicle's 90-inch wheelbase, the RZR XP 1000 FOX Edition sports an industry-leading ground clearance of 13.5-inches. The 2015 model also features the first ever front sway-bar on an RZR XP 1000, as well as a redesigned rear sway bar. "The addition of the front sway bar was done to help reduce the amount of body-roll during cornering and increases the overall agility of the vehicle. To provide balanced handling, the rear sway bar was also softened up by 25 percent," said McArdle. Helping to keep the RZR XP 1000 FOX Edition at a constant speed across difficult terrain, is the 110 HP ProStarĀ® 1000 H.O. engine. It sports a "tweaked" double overhead cam, bigger valve springs, more compression, and an optimized fuel map. In FOX PODIUM INTERNAL BYPASS SHOCKS HAVE A 3-INCH BODY IN THE REAR AND 2.5-INCH BODY IN THE FRONT. THE INTERNAL BYPASS TECHNOLOGY HAS 5 PROGRESSIVE ZONES AND 3 ZONES OF REBOUND DAMPING. THE RZR XP 1000 FOX EDITION FEATURES A FIRST EVER FRONT SWAY BAR AND REDESIGNED REAR SWAY BAR TO DRAMATICALLY DECREASE BODY ROLL AND IMPROVE VEHICLE HANDLING. REDESIGNED 2- STAGE COIL OVER SPRINGS REDUCE NOISE AND WORK IN TANDEM WITH THE FOX PODIUM INTERNAL BYPASS SHOCKS. 053 SCORE JOURNAL
