April Wilson 25
G • 5-7 • Jr.
Wilson couldn't find her
shot in Hoffman Estates,
making only one of her 13
field goal attempts. But
the one was big, when
she hit the game-winner
against Wisconsin in
Round 1. It had to be a
bit of a relief, after she'd
missed in similar situa-
tions in four games earlier this season. But
Wilson's not afraid to take charge in those
situations, and she took over vs. the Badgers.
Wilson also had 17 assists and only four
turnovers in two tourney games.
Ashley Morrissette 1
G • 5-9 • So.
Morrissette became much
more efficient down the
stretch of the season,
particularly in tournament
play. The sophomore
averaged 13.5 points
per game, and — most
importantly — did so by
hitting 10 of her 21 shots,
right at or near 50-percent
in both outings. Considering her shooting
woes much of the season, the uptick at the
end might have served as proof that she
can be an efficient scorer rather than a high-
volume shooter.
Bridget Perry 13
F • 6-2 • So.
Perry ended the season
battered, needing a few
weeks to rest after having
to nurse through ham-
string and Achilles injuries
recently. And there was
the ankle sprain that kept
her out a month, as well.
Still, Perry battled, playing
29 minutes in two games.
She went for 18 against Minnesota, coming
in only after Purdue needed her to play in
the post due to foul trouble to Whitney Bays
and Liza Clemons.
Liza Clemons 23
F • 6-2 • Sr.
Clemons had a couple
solid outings in the
tournament, averaging
15.5 points and eight
rebounds. She was play-
ing well at the end of
her career, knowing that
the days in a Purdue uni-
form were soon to end.
Frequently undersized
against centers, like Minnesota's Amanda
Zahui B., Clemons wouldn't back down from
getting after it, and the Boilermakers are
likely to miss that attitude next season.
Whitney Bays 32
F • 6-2 • Sr. (5)
As she did in the post-
season last year, Bays
turned up the intensity
in the tournament this
season. She scored 16 in
the win over Wisconsin,
then a career-high 28 vs.
Minnesota, as Purdue
consistently looked for her
in the high post. There,
the Gophers had trouble stopping her from
hitting jumpers or driving to the post. Bays'
rebounding dipped late in the season, but
she'll still leave Purdue as its most produc-
tive rebounder in program history.

The
Starters
Hayden Hamby 10
G • 5-7 • Jr.
Hamby's playing time fell
off in the tournament:
10 minutes against Wis-
consin, then only three
vs. Minnesota. She's not
been productive enough.
Purdue will add depth to
its backcourt next season,
meaning Hamby will have
to carve out a role. Is that
as a scorer? It seems unlikely so, as Hamby
struggled to find opportunities for points
as a junior.
Bree Horrocks 22
C • 6-5 • Fr.
Horrocks struggled might-
ily in her minutes against
the Golden Gophers — as
many do — trying to
contain Zahui B. In 10
minutes, she picked up
four fouls. Her footwork
needs work during this
offseason, so that she
can get quick enough to
match up with the best posts in the league.
If she can do that, then perhaps some of her
strengths, shooting for one, will begin to
show more regularly.
Andreona Keys 24
5-10 • G • Fr.
Keys was wearing down
the end of the season,
when the long college
season wearing on the
rookie. But she still gave
the Boilermakers solid
minutes in the two tour-
nament games. As Purdue
becomes more perimeter-
oriented in a year, Keys
might be asked to step into a bigger scoring
role. She has the ability, but at times could
stand to be even more aggressive.
