I n Michigan's storied history, its sta- dium has played host to only three night games, against Notre Dame in 2011 and 2013, and against Penn State in 2014. While current athletics director Jim Hackett said he should have an announcement on a night- game opponent for 2015 in the com- ing weeks, he took the time recently to indicate that in future seasons the Wolverines would have multiple eve- ning affairs. "What we all have to get used to, and I want our fans to understand is this, the Big Ten and SEC and ACC and Pac-12, all these schools are be- ginning to sign longer-term agree- ments for television, and we have to get ready for a world where there are more prime-time games [because that's what the networks covet]," he said in a radio interview with Grand Rapids-based 'The Huge Show' March 6. "The viewership is much higher, not surprisingly, for night ver- sus noon games. [Next year] get used to more than one night game at Michi- gan. That will be true for all the Big Ten schools."
