MICHIGAN BASKETBALL best 14 threes by the Wolverines. The 14 team triples were the most since U-M hit 14 against Texas in last year's NCAA Tournament. Dawkins' effort produced a career-high 31 points, and his eight threes repre- sented the second-most in Michigan history, behind Garde Thompson's nine in a 1987 NCAA Tournament win over Navy. • Albrecht tied his career high with nine assists in the Senior Day victory over Rutgers. • Freshman forward Kameron Chatman posted a career-high 13 points in the victory over the Scarlet Knights. • Beilein dressed and played a pair of former team managers, Jon Rubenstein and Ryan Kaputstka, in the win over Rutgers. The NCAA cleared the two to play, and they'd served as practice performers up to that point. • The Wolverines performed against Rutgers without freshman forward Ricky Doyle, who was ill. It was the first game Doyle missed all season. • Michigan's 73-55 win in the opener of the Big Ten Tournament against Illinois brought the Wolverines' all-time conference tournament record to an even 16-16. The Wolverines are 8-0 in Big Ten Tournament-opening games under Beilein. • The 18-point win proved Michigan's biggest since the Wolverines took down Nicholls State by 29, all the way back on Nov. 29. U-M led by as many as 24 in the game. • Irvin recorded a career-high six assists. His five in the first half alone repre- sented more than he'd ever recorded in a game. • Abdur-Rahkman grabbed a career-high eight rebounds in the win over the Illini. • Bielfeldt made only his sec- ond career start in the victory over his home-state Illini. • Michigan's 71-60 loss to Wisconsin in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament made the Wolverines 0-3 all time in the tournament ver- sus the Badgers. • Irvin, who wound up with 21 points and 11 rebounds against the Badgers, made at least one three-pointer in all 32 Michigan games this sea- son. Senior forward Max Bielfeldt notched his first career double - double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Wolverines' home finale versus Rutgers March 7. PHOTO BY PER KJELDSEN
