The Grounds Estate consists of 42 acres of playing fields, sports pitches, golf course, meadow and woodland. The job requires an enthusiastic, reliable and energetic team player with 3 years' experience in the Sports Ground industry. Under the direction of the Senior Groundsman, the Grounds Person will undertake the preparation and maintenance of all playing surfaces, grounds and facilities to the highest possible standards. You will have the ability to deputise for the Grounds Manager, as required, assist in the day to day supervision and motivation of the grounds team, an ability to communicate with a wide range of people, and have experience of working as a grounds person, horticulturist, gardener or similar role within a customer focussed sport and / or leisure environment. You will also be required to have a valid, full, Group B driving licence. An appropriate qualification at NVQ 3, HND level or equivalent experience, preferably in grounds management or sport turf maintenance is desirable. This is a full time position, 35 hour per week.
