A follow-up to the 2001 comedy smash
has been going round the rumour mill
for years, but now it's officially a-go. The
decade old, cameo-littered film will finally
get a long awaited sequel. For those of
you who have already watched Zoolander
again, wondering if Will Ferrell will make
a comeback as Mugatu, shortly after the
stunt Paramount Pictures reported that
Will has also signed on to return. Penelope
Cruz is coming too, just so you know.
For those who didn't witness the walk-
off first hand, it was brilliantly caught
by vine celeb Jerome Jarre In what has
to be the most awesome snapchat ever.
During the story Jerome receives kisses
from a giddy Anna Wintour backstage.
As Hansel and Derek hit the runway, not
only does Jerome get off his seat during
the Valentino #PFW show to film, but
Zoolander (played by Ben Stiller) steals his
phone for the ultimate selfie strut. The pair
then tore up the rest of Paris, throwing
some serious model shapes in front of the
Eiffel Tower.
Plot details for the sequel are being kept
under wraps, but Stiller told MTV "In the
fashion world, if you go away for a year,
it's changed — it just happens so quickly.
I think the idea in the beginning of the
movie is that it's 10 years later, and Derek
and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody
remembers who they are, so they have to
reinvent themselves."
