Because Cotswold 2.5-oz. is a nondirectional, wet-laid cutaway, it is reported to help ensure that the embroidery holds its shape for the life of the garment. It helps achieve the "tambourine skin" tension in the hoop that is necessary for proper registration. The single layer also helps reduce bulk. Cotswold has eliminated formaldehyde and started using a significant percentage of post-consum- er recycled fibers in the manufacturing process, making this cutaway more environmentally friendly than traditional cutaways. It comes in optic white and charcoal. Rolls are available in 60" X 200 yards and 46" X 200 yards. Distributors also supply slit rolls and die-cut pieces in the most popular sizes. The attachment works with a wide range of sequin sizes, from small to large and even noncircular and irregular shapes. It is now possible to run the machine at a maximum speed of 1,000 stitches per minute. This attachment should be installed at the factory when a new machine is purchased. To use the sequin attachment, users must also have the Tajima DG/ML by Pulse digitizing software with sequin fonts or the Sequin Pack option. The Sequin Pack allows operators to draw or import artwork and digitize for sequins. A variety of settings determines the application of the sequin, style of tack down, and overlap between adjacent settings that can be used to create pattern variety. The program works with a maximum 12 types of sequins and includes 18 styles of tack-down stitches that can create ef- fects from filled shapes to allow the sequins to dangle from the shirt.
