here are always going to be
mistakes made in recruiting,
a moving target of an endeavor in
which batting 1.000 is practically
an impossibility.
But this year more than ever,
Purdue has to do everything in its
power to be right, and only right.
The Boilermaker coaching staff
has very few scholarships, rela-
tively speaking, to fill for its 2016
recruiting class, and so its margin
for error is roughly a shade north
of zilch.
"You have to be so careful," re-
cruiting coordinator Gerad Parker
said. "We've been very efficient
and slow to offer. You have to be
that much more accurate sending
out offers because you can't be
wrong. It's not to say you can't ever
be wrong, but it'll hurt you (with a
