WOMEN'S GOLF Michigan completed its season with a fifth‑place finish at the Big Ten Cham‑ pionships April 24‑26 in Indianapolis … Freshman Megan Kim shot a career‑best 220 and sophomore Grace Choi shot 222 to finish 13th and 18th, respectively, en route to a team total of 882 … The fifth‑ place showing marked just the ninth time in program history the Wolverines fin‑ ished in the top five at the Big Ten Cham‑ pionships … Senior Lauren Grogan fin‑ ished her Michigan career having started 36 of 37 events with a career scoring aver‑ age of 77.46. WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS The No. 6 Wolverines posted the pro‑ gram's second‑highest score ever at the NCAA Championships (197.025), but still came up short of advancing to the Super Six … U‑M finished fourth in the first semifinal April 17, behind Florida, Utah and Stanford … Four gymnasts combined for six NCAA All‑America hon‑ ors … Sophomore Nicole Artz was first team on both balance beam (9.900) and in the all‑around (39.425), sophomore Talia Chiarelli was first team on both bal‑ ance beam (9.900) and floor exercise (9.925), senior Sachi Sugiyama was first team on floor exercise (9.900) and fresh‑ man Brianna Brown was second team in the all‑around (39.325) … Sugiyama, Artz and Chiarelli represented Michigan on the final day of the season at the NCAA Championships in individual events … Chiarelli finished eighth in the balance beam and seventh in the floor exercise, Artz came in at 12th on the balance beam and Sugiyama tied with Chiarelli for sev‑ enth on the floor exercise. MEN'S LACROSSE (5‑8, 1‑4 BIG TEN) The Wolverines ended their season on a three‑game losing streak after suffer‑ ing a 10‑9 loss to Penn State April 25 … Sophomore Ian King tied his school record of six goals, five in the second half, but the Maize and Blue couldn't overcome an early deficit against the Nittany Lions … King scored a point in 21 consecutive games, and he led the Wolverines with 23 goals, 34 points and a team‑best four hat tricks in 2015 … Will Meter ended his U‑M career tied for the program career record in assists with 26 … Michigan is now 0‑4 all time against Penn State. WOMEN'S LACROSSE (5‑12, 0‑5 BIG TEN) After a strong start, Michigan struggled down the stretch, losing its final nine games, including the season‑ending 13‑9 loss to Northwestern in the Big Ten
