Luke Glendening • NHL The Detroit Red Wings forward notched ESPN SportsCenter's top play of the day when he notched the game-winning goal — a short-handed effort — in a 3-2 win over Tampa Bay April 16. Glen- dening took the puck on the right boards, spun to the middle and backhanded a shot past goalie Ben Bishop to give the Red Wings a 3-1 lead in the third period. Tim Hardaway Jr. • NBA The former Michigan shooting guard saved one of his best games of the year for last, scoring 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting (5 of 8 on three-pointers) in a 112-90 loss at Detroit April 15.
