MICHIGAN RECRUITING U‑M defensive line coach Greg Mat‑ tison pulled the trigger on the 6‑1, 194‑pounder, he already held offers from Auburn, Boston College, Miami (Fla.) and Tennessee. Colleges expect Pappoe to grow into a 6‑4 outside linebacker or de‑ fensive end at the next level, and he has the potential to be one of the best in the nation when his time comes. By that time, he'll already have dou‑ ble‑digit scholarship offers, so Michi‑ gan was wise to move early. "They want to get in early because they know he's going to be special … his highlight video is phenomenal," Grayson High School recruiting coor‑ dinator Kenyatta Watson said. "Then he's a straight‑A student, a very disciplined kid. If you look at him physically, he's just put together like he's a 20‑year‑old man. Although Michigan doesn't have a direct connection to Pappoe, the early offer should give them a chance to build a bond before he's one of the most coveted prospects in the coun‑ try.
