"I feel we have an advantage because with the LED system we're using, we've taken a lot of time to set up our own R&D shop. We test every LED component," he says. The goal of his LED signs is to stand out from the crowd. Sign Enterprise spent many years refining and perfecting the colors in its signs so that when one of its signs is next to another company's sign, it really pops. "When I started the sign business, I did it because I really enjoyed it," he says. He always thought he would end up doing something else eventually. He dreamed of being in the FBI, but "once I had involved myself in the sign industry for a year or so, I realized this was something I was going to make my career out of."
