SCORE NEWS SCORE'S OSCAR RAMOS J. DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER SCORE announced that Oscar Ramos Jassen, international liaison for SCORE International, has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Ramos is currently getting treatment at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia, where he is undergoing testing and procedures in preparation for surgery. "We are all in shock regarding this grievous news regarding Oscar Ramos, who has been a wonderful friend and great help to SCORE for over two decades," said Roger Norman, SCORE CEO/President. "Oscar has been a significant member of our SCORE family and he knows that our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this most difficult time." Ramos was extremely active in helping prepare the logistics and execution of the recent SCORE Baja race in the state of Baja Sur and was hospitalized several days after the race in Tijuana when the symptoms of his condition became apparent. CASEY CURRIE TO RUN KOH JEEP IN SCORE'S UNLIMITED TROPHY TRUCK CLASS LEFT TO RIGHT ELISE NORMAN, ROGER NORMAN, OSCAR RAMOS,. SCORE STAFF Casey and John Currie plan to get some exposure by running their "King Of The Hammers" Jeep in the Unlimited Trophy Truck Class during the Bud Light SCORE Baja 500. While this will be Casey Currie's first experience driving in the Unlimited Trophy Truck Class, his uncle John has competed in the past and will also co-drive the vehicle. "I want to race Trophy Truck to get the exposure it deserves," says Casey. "I want the world to know that anyone can race in any vehicle. So by getting TV exposure in a KOH Jeep, it's only going to help KOH cars in the SCORE series." SCORE does offer a new Hammer Class, but Currie's plan is to compete against the Trophy Trucks while maintaining a steady pace that will keep the straight axle Jeep from getting damaged during the race. 06 SCORE JOURNAL
