32 n Performance & Hotrod Business n July 2015 PERFORMANCE Energy Suspension has a proven track record designing, engineering and man- ufacturing polyurethane components, which not only outlast rubber but improve vehicle control and handling by reduc- ing wheel hop, body roll and alignment issues, and will continue doing so in years to come. PHB: What's a typical day like for you? MSC: Every day is different. Our per- formance line is wide, which makes up multiple applications: street, off-road, drag, road racing, autocross, heavy-duty and now powersports, which leads to trying to reach multiple demographics through several media channels, creating constant deadlines. In the morning through lunch, I'm returning phone calls and emails, and reviewing projects with our graphics department, which handles print and web ads, flyers, product releases, etc. The second half of the day is meeting with pro- duction, sales or engineering managers to cover any issues with product launches, editorial opportunities, event planning or any unforeseen challenges. Plus there's making sure display booth materials are in transit and supporting our sales team when they are on the road. Between 4-6 p.m. I return more emails and I go through magazines and browse online for any edit mentions and industry info. PHB: What's the best thing about your job? MSC: It's never the same. It's been said by many and I believe it too that we are blessed to be working in an industry we are passionate about every day, including weekends or whatever it takes, and I have been very fortunate to have worked with well-known, successful companies in this industry. PHB: What's the biggest challenge? MSC: Time management. Energy Suspension polyurethane components are not an improvement product you see or hear, but feel, and educating those who do not understand the importance of an efficient suspension takes some time.
