152 | AUGUST 2015 nshoremag.com RENEW HEALTH CLUB LATITUDE SPORTS CLUBS The reasons for giving the award to Latitude Sports Clubs year after year are many. Having done our due diligence and taken classes at other top-rated area facili- ties, it continues to stand that Latitude is the best. Diverse and up-on-what's-hot class offerings; clean, updated, and always oper- able equipment; approachable and sup- portive personal trainers; a sleek spinning studio; a dry sauna; a protein smoothie bar; plenty of hand sanitizer and cleaning solu- tion stations (which make the entire facility feel cleaner than most gyms); and towel service are among the things we appreciate. The Andover facility is particularly enjoy- able with its exposed-brick walls and wood floors, chalked weekly inspirational mes- sage, and staff members who call you by name. Oh, and a free trial pass is always a bonus! 10 Main St., Andover, 978-474-1888, latitudesportsclubs.com H O T I N T H E H O O D INFINITY FITNESS CENTER A bit of a hidden gem, North Andover's Infinity Fitness Center scores high marks on many counts, including: a spacious work- out room and multiple classrooms; very comfortable spinning bikes and studio (and exceptionally great music); equipment that is in good working condition with lots of options and plenty of weights to go around; and a very hot dry sauna with a wood buck- et of water for making steam (something not often seen in a gym). The whole facility is very clean and flooded with natural light. Gym wipes stations are everywhere. Massage services and personal and small group training sessions are available, as is a nice little café and juice bar, a small pro shop, and impossibly plush white towels. All in all, it is a sanitary, organized, efficient place in which to get a good workout. 530 Turnpike St., North Andover, 978-794-3484, infinityfitnesscenter.com BEVERLY ATHLETIC CLUB BAC, a favorite among readers, has a lot going for it too, beginning with a week free-trial pass (most area gyms only offer a one-day pass). The class schedule is loaded with options for all interests and levels. The general staff is pleasant and the instructors/trainers are upbeat and helpful. The sprawling facility features separate weight and cardio rooms—each very spacious—a large and lively spin- ning studio, a great selection of high-end nautilus equipment, a quiet dry sauna, and towel service. 7 Reservoir Rd., Beverly, 978-927-0920, beverlyathletic.com CEDARDALE HEALTH AND FITNESS This expansive facility features spa- cious and well-maintained studio rooms; a huge selection of nautilus and cardio machines; plenty of high-end free weights; a consultation room, where new and return- ing members can strategize with trainers; large locker rooms featuring dry saunas and steam rooms; and indoor as well as outdoor pools. A mammoth sport court that accom- modates a variety of games and leagues, multiple tennis courts, a nice spinning stu- dio, a robust schedule of classes and special programs, and motivational instructors all add up to a great club. 931 Boston Rd., Haverhill, 978-373-1596, cedardale-health.net R E A D E R S' C H O I C E L A T I T U D E S P O R T S C L U B S 191 Elm St., Salisbury, 978-462-5662, latitudesportsclubs.com
