The popular event is starting to outgrow the 10 venues it has been using downtown and is looking to expand for 2016. This year's event featured an impressive array of established writers like Newburyport resident Andre Dubus III and Joyce Maynard in intimate settings. The children's festival, held in the Newburyport Public Library, attracted a large crowd to hear Jarrett J. Krosoczka, author of the Lunch Lady graphic novel series, who inspired a group of rapt tweens and younger kids with his journey to becoming a published author, even displaying some of his pre-K and early middle school comic strips. Book clubs are starting to travel en masse to attend, so arrive early next year to catch your favorite authors. Save the date: April 29 and 30, 2016.
