talent in the SCORE Unlimited Trophy Truck division, you need to have a clean race. We are seeing every single race become closer and closer and harder fought." FATHER AND SON TEAM WIN CLASS-1 While the Unlimited Trophy Trucks were fighting for position, the same could be said for the Class-1 group whose leaders had experienced various problems that also kept them changing the lead throughout the course. In the end, the father and son team of Cody and Brian Parkhouse from Long Beach, California, defeated the talented group of 19 starters to win the class in their second straight year at the Baja 500. "It was an absolutely perfect day," said Cody Parkhouse. "My dad started and ran a great race and gave me a great lead. I just drove it in. My section of the course was fast and smooth and just a good time. We had amazing prep on the car and our team and strategy helped get us back- to-back wins. You can't do it without a perfect car to run all day and perfect pits. I've learned a lot from my dad and to be able to get to do this as a family is great." OTHER SCORE CLASSES ALSO HAVE REPEAT WINNERS Of the 23 starters in the growing UTV class (Class 19) Wayne Matlock from El Cajon, California in his Polaris RZR XP1000, came in first and earned his first UTV class win and fifth career class win. "It was a brutal course, but we had a lot of fun," said Matlock who has earned four other class wins at the SCORE Baja 500 on a Quad. Another repeat SCORE Baja 500 winner was Donald Moss out of Sacramento, California, who won Class-3 in his Ford Bronco. This marks the ninth time, and fifth straight year Moss has won in his class. Picking up his fifth career win in at the SCORE Baja 500 in a motorcycle class, was Japan's Eizaburo Karasawa in Class 60, for the rider of record Susumu Ishii. Several racers who won their classes during the SCORE Baja 500 remain undefeated in their respective classes for the 2015 SCORE racing season. These include Trophy Truck Spec Class winner Larry Connor, Victor Cesna who won in Class-5, and Chad Broughton of Scotts Valley, California, who won in Class-3000. 47TH BUD LIGHT SCORE BAJA 500 RECAP CLASS-1 FATHER AND SON TEAM OF CODY AND BRIAN PARKHOUSE WON THEIR CLASS FOR THEIR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR AT THE SCORE BAJA 500. 014 SCORE JOURNAL
