Trophy Truck racing a lot more interesting," said Vildosola. "I came from Class 1600 where you can't take a minute off and relax, and these young guys came up through similar classes. Whether it is a Class-9, a 16 car, a Trophy Truck or whatever, that's how we learned to race and why I think we are seeing faster paces at the races, and it's great for the fans. I'm in the middle, I'm not 23, but I'm not in my 40s either. It means more preparation, focus and conditioning for the rest of us." While all three drivers are fierce competitors who go for the win in every race, they also like to see fellow Mexican drivers winning when they do not. "Of course I'm very happy," said Lopez. "To know that as Mexicans we're standing out in this sport no matter which class, makes me very proud." "It's great that a sport that takes place in Mexico now has Mexican Champions," said Vildosola. " I think the fans are proud that the level of competition from Mexicans drivers is coming up." "Mexicans winning in SCORE makes me happy for all the Mexican people," said Laguna. "I started as a spectator and I'm a Mexican, so I know how happy and excited the fans get when they see their Mexican heroes racing. It's even more exciting now, that they can look forward to Mexicans winning in Trophy Truck." Lopez was also very excited about his first win and the second in a row for the RPM Offroad team. "This first victory as overall is a dream come true," he says. "Since I started running in SCORE I've always dreamed about winning a Baja and now have I accomplished that thanks to the support of RPM Offroad, Clyde Stacy, and my parents." Team owner Clyde Stacy also spoke about Apdaly at the finish and commented on how proud he was of Apdaly and that he's improving all the time. While these Mexican racers can enjoy their latest accomplishments the 2015 SCORE season isn't over yet. Currently, Lopez is now leading the Trophy Truck points with Vildosola close behind in second, TAVO VILDOSOLA FINISHED THIRD AT THE SCORE BAJA 500, BUT IS AMONG THE FEW MEXICAN DRIVERS TO HAVE ONE A SCORE OVERALL AND UNLIMITED TROPHY TRUCK CLASS RACE. 035 SCORE JOURNAL
