Pumping Up The F-150's
Performance
The greater performance levels
come from key upgrades on
the truck's suspension system.
These vehicles share new upper
and lower control arms that
are wider and are used with a
new fabricated spindle. Longer
heavy-duty tie-rod ends are
included and allow the vehicles
to have 12-inches of front wheel
travel. At the rear, ADD uses a
Currie full floating rearend, new
Deaver leaf springs, and a shock
relocation mount. This gives
the truck a solid and reliable
platform with 14-inches of rear
travel while keeping the
shocks under the bed.
Fox 3.0 reservoir shocks
are also used along with
hydraulic bump stops to
soften the ride and landings.
ADD also adds a rear frame
reinforcement girdle to
prevent damage if the truck
comes down hard on the
