IMPROVING RACING TO THE SCENE OF AN OFF-ROAD INJURY L ike two seasoned pros living off the razor's edge, Ivor Shier and Dr. Jeff Grange have raced along the sandy washes and rock-strewn switchbacks of some incredible off-road events. Yet, for all their skills and years of experience in the seat of their 650 horsepower machine, they have never won a race, or even touched a single tire tread on the course itself. The reason why, is because Shier is the owner and operator of Corporate Helicopters, the team that flies Dr. Grange, the official SCORE medical doctor. The two fly hundreds of feet above the race to provide emergency medical support. It's a risky job both are willing do. Not for prestige, but to save lives, and to help the seriously injured, while lesser situations are handled by local ambulance based medical units.
