the desire to have face time with your customers. Take advantage. Market far beyond a banner or dasher board.
Rather than one at a time, approach the top three to six competitors of each segment at once.
If a business suspects you are soliciting a competitor, they may be quicker to come to a decision. If they decide to sponsor you, great. If not, no worries
— You can spend your energy focusing on its competitor.
In many cases, these companies may also represent a vendor relationship, and you might trade part of the sponsorship for payment in the form of other goods and services rather than cash. Look closely at your budget and see where there is value in payment-in-kind goods and services. The average facility should be able to identify at least $50,000 in potential cost savings that could be sponsored.
Create an overall hit list of opportunities and break it down. Don't be afraid to attack a category. Let the person with the strongest relationship to the company make the introductory call. Use your connections to get in touch with investors, but let your sales people do what they do best. We live in a country where whom you know is still as important as what you know.
