BY DAN SANCHEZ PHOTOS COURTESY BRANDON SCHUELER AND JAGGED X RACING I n the relatively short time that the UTV class has been established within SCORE, several champions have emerged that have their roots well grounded in desert racing. One of many that exemplify the love affair with Baja and dedication to racing in this division, is Brandon Schueler, driver of the Jagged X racing team out of Phoenix, Arizona. Schueler began racing at age 15 and comes from a family dedicated to racing. "All we do is race," says Schueler. "It has become a passion for us and we have learned to race conser- vative and want to finish." The Jagged X team started off in the family's garage and many of his family members serve as crew chief, driver, and pit crew. This racing family, however, aren't just a bunch of off-road enthusiasts looking to have a good time in the desert. They have proven the team can be successful racing UTVs, and have the trophies to prove it. With six class championships in a variety of other desert racing venues, Schueler is currently the points leader in SCORE's PRO Stock UTV Class 19 and is poised to take home a champi- onship in 2015. In order to stay out in front of some very good competition, Schueler's tactics will be to utilize what he knows best. "Knowledge will be our guide," says Schueler. "We know where we are in the points and we know who is close to us in THE JAGGED X RACING TEAM IS AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME IN THE SCORE CLASS 19 DIVISION.
