24 • RV PRO • SEPTEMBER 2015 rv-pro.com E ntering its eighth year, the annual Elkhart Open House Week Extravaganza is bringing more dealers and more money transactions to the Elkhart area than ever before. In fact, one real estate manager says the three- day event compares favorably with the economic impact a Notre Dame football game in South Bend has on the Elkhart area. This year's event, scheduled for Sept. 22-24, will feature a slightly different layout for some of the smaller manufacturers. Thanks in part to industry consolidation and also in part to some manufacturers opting to display at their own fac- tories, some prime spaces opened up near the RV/ MH Hall of Fame and were snatched up by some manufacturers that hadn't been able to get that close to the action before. Still, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Forest River will still anchor its activities at the Dynamax plant and Thor Industries will hold down the fort on the Hall of Fame grounds.
