40 • RV PRO • SEPTEMBER 2015 rv-pro.com Jayco It wasn't that many years ago that Jayco didn't do anything special for Open House Week. Times have changed. This year Jayco and its various divisions expect to have a large display at the foot of the Hall of Fame. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 22 through Sept. 24. Lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m. each day and there will be a happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23. Jayco officials expect to have a plethora of new products for dealers to see. In towables, one of the biggest developments has been a revamping of the RV maker's toy hauler line, which includes the Seismic, Seismic Wave, Octane and Octane SL. In the Seismic model, Jayco is touting the launch of the Seismic 4212, a 42-foot luxury fifth wheel with 12 feet of cargo area, a large passenger-side patio deck, and two slides on the driver's side, one in the living room and the other in the bedroom. Since its inception in January, it's become the company's No. 1-seller in toy haulers. Meanwhile, in the Octane and Octane SL travel trailer toy hauler category, the RV maker has redone the exterior and interior styling and added enhancements including solar prep and back-up prep, but kept the floorplans the same. In the Jay Flight category, Jayco is introducing the 20XTG, a 20-foot floorplan with a full exterior kitchen. While Jayco has worked to keep its Jay Flight products lightweight, it has also added a number of new features, including a power awning with LED light, double-entry steps and a black tank flush. Meanwhile, in the motorized segment, Jayco earlier this year introduced two new 27-foot-long models, the 26AX and the 26AY. The Alante is Jayco's entry-level Class A motorhome, as the Precept motorhome moves to become the new mid-range product. Despite the Alante's entry-level price point ($79,995 MSRP), it still comes standard with many high-end features, including the industry's largest windshield (120 inches), which is the same window found on the RV maker's luxury diesel pusher Entegra Coach motorhome. The Alante is built on a Ford E-350 16,000-pound chassis and comes equipped with a Triton V-10 horsepower gas engine. Additionally, Jayco will be introducing new floorplans for the Precept and the Seneca at Open House. Entegra: There are many upgrades for motorhomes in Jay- co's luxury diesel pusher division. Among them, a JBL sound system (complete with premium speakers, amplifier and sub- woofer) has been custom tuned for the Aspire, Anthem and Cornerstone models. For the Aspire, additional upgrades include MCD American duo shades throughout, two-burner induction cooktop, and a Thetford Sani-Con Turbo macerator system. For the Anthem and Cornerstone, upgrades include a Girard Vision dual-pitched awning, the addition of a Tempur-Pedic Cloud Prima king-size mattress, and a Thetford Sani-Con Turbo macerator system. Highland Ridge: Although a new Highlander toy hauler line was introduced at Louisville last fall, the trailer just went into full production in June, so this may the first time many dealers have gotten a look. The HT21FBD has a patent-pending front-load design with front-loading capability to haul ATVs over 8 feet in length, according to Josh Streich, marketing manager for Highland Ridge. Other front decks have to load from the side and are limited to ATVs under 8 feet in length, Streich says. The rails that are on the side of the front deck detach for use as a ramp. In addition, Highland Ridge will be debuting a new line of ultra-lite RVs. "This is an opportunity for us to get into the largest segment in terms of sales," Streich says. "This really allows us to have closer to a full product lineup so dealers don't need to go to another manufacturer to meet their customers' needs." The goal weight for the new ultra-lite is 5,500 pounds, but the exact weight won't be known until the trailers start coming off the line. Also on display at the Highland Ridge area will be updated 3X models that will include a front living room floorplan. There also will be updates to the Roamer and Mesa Ridge both in travel trailers and fifth wheels. For Open House Week, Jayco will be showcasing several new floorplans in its toy hauler line, including the Seismic 4212 (pictured), a 42-foot luxury fifth wheel with a side patio. The Highland Ridge Highlander HT21FBD toy hauler has a patent-pending front-load design with front-loading capability to haul ATVs more than 8 feet in length.
