The RV maker plans to showcase its entire towable lineup – one of each floorplan and brand – that the company builds, Stoppenhagen says. Exact numbers were being finalized as of press time, but the number of RVs is expected to increase from the number showcased at the Winnebago Towables facility last year. Winnebago Towables expects to debut two new brands at this year's Open House, one of which will be a smaller towable than the company has produced previously and the other will be a classy retro-type towable. Other details on units are under wraps for now. Show hours for Winnebago Towables are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 22 through Sept. 24. Lunch will be served during the noon hour all three days. Dealers will also be able to tour Winnebago's factory if they desire. Augusta RV The luxury fifth wheel manufacturer chose not to exhibit near the RV/MH Hall of Fame this year. Instead, Augusta invites dealers to come to its manufacturing facility at 405 Kesco Drive in Bristol, Ind., to tour the plant and check out what's new for 2016. Augusta is launching a new product line called Ambition. The fifth wheels will be a small step below its signature Luxe line. Augusta President Chris Eppers says Luxe retails for $100,000 to $150,000, but Ambition will run from $75,000 to $100,000. "It's a step down from the Luxe, but still a high-end luxury fifth wheel," he says. "The construction's a little lighter, but it's still a lot heavier than your traditional fifth wheel. Luxe has MORryde independent suspension where the Ambition has Dexter 8,000- pound axles." In addition, Augusta will unveil "a better generation" of Luxe, Eppers says. The Luxe will now include a water filtration system and will be a 101-inch widebody. Floorplans more than 42 feet in length will still have the triple axle setup, with those less than 42 feet having two axles. Luxe will feature five floorplans. The new Augusta RV Ambition is a small step below the manufacturer's signature Luxe line, but still comes loaded with plenty of amenities. Winnebago expects to showcase dozens of RVs for dealers at its factory in Middlebury.
