As we begin our 26th year at Gold and
Black Illustrated, we are quite proud to
have those colors associated with our
product. It might be a stretch to call us one
of Purdue's great traditions, but we feel
fortunate to have been able to tell the story
of Boilermaker sports over the years.
One of our challenges during the peri-
od has been to effectively deliver the news
the best way possible. For 20 years, news-
print and the U.S. Mail was adequate, but
the only constant in media these days is
change. And we are excited to be providing
a new one this year with Gold and Black
Express.
Instead of receiving 28 digital issues, we
will provide 50 editions this year. The sched-
ule will be Mondays and Thursdays during
football season and Mondays during bas-
ketball season. Subscribers will receive an
e-mail with links to stories and also will be
able to be access them on GoldandBlackDig-
ital.com and on our iPad app. It also will be
more mobile friendly.
Of course, we will
stick with our roots
and continue to pro-
vide a glossy mag-
azine six times a
year. For as much as
things change, that
is one area where
we will remain the
same.
