sport like Terrible Herbst
Motorsports, led by Off-
Road Hall of Fame inductee
Jerry Herbst and family.
For more than 40 years, team
Herbst has exhibited a steely-
eyed passion for competition
with a desire to win that runs
deep in all aspects of the Herbst
enterprises. With one competi-
tive truck in SCORE's Unlimited
Trophy Truck class, the Herbst
family is getting ready to enter
another class within SCORE.
SCORE Journal tracked
down fabricator Herbst-Smith's
co-owner, Mike Smith to find
some answers after we learned
that Terrible Herbst team
is gunning for TT Spec, the
relatively affordable forerunner
to the more powerful Unlimited
Trophy Truck class. And since
Terrible Herbst Motorsports, or
Smith, hasn't recently set a tire
tread in SCORE's TT Spec prior
to making their announcement
to compete, all eyes will be on
this one fabricator and red-
shirted teammates to see if they
got it right.
On a recent visit to the
Herbst-Smith secured
headquarters in Huntington
