In the meantime, Aaron Ampudia is the current driver that dominates this class in SCORE. As the wealth of Mexican pride for racers like Ampudia is taking hold, it's no wonder a majority of entries for this class are from Mexican racers and teams. Hopefully, the challenge of competing against the top drivers will make more teams step up and continue to compete in a nostalgic class. When you put some of the best racers competing against each other, the bragging rights for the winner can mean much more in 1/2 1600, than in any other class in SCORE.
