2 0 1 5 O C T O B E R P R I N T W E A R || 97 How can I make my favor- ite garments decorated with transfers look new again after years of washing? You can do this by heat pressing a sheet of Teflon, gloss surface paper, or metal cooking foil over the entire transfer image. After cold-peel removing the sheet, the worn trans- fer can be brought back to somewhere close to its original quality. CHRIS PLUCK, INSTA GRAPHICS Can you do all-over printing with trans- fers? If so, what's the maximum size you can order for a transfer? Yes, you can do all over printing with transfers, but only if you have a large-format heat press. The maximum transfer size is 28" X 38". FRANK GIZATULLIN, THE WILD SIDE Q&A Revive old heat transfers with a little bit of heat and Teflon. However, the distressed look continues to stay in fashion so don't be afraid of a little wear.
