November 2015 The Shop 101 November 2015 The Shop 101 Project Solaris, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4x4, is being built by Jeff Cleer and family at Voodoo Customs llc. It will be used as a feature vehicle at the 2015 SEMA show by UnderCover Truck Bed Covers. Starting with the bed, Voodoo Customs uses UnderCover Truck bed c o v e r s r a n g i n g f ro m the Flex to the Elite LX, depending on customer requirements. BedRugs and Swing- Cases are also installed to give their customers that finished look while protecting the bed and its contents, and also adding convenient storage for tools, tie-downs and more. Solaris has a 6.5-inch Zone lift, FOX coilovers and Zone body lift installed by Troutman Trick Trucks, for a total of 9 inches of lift. Mickey Thompson Deegan 35x12.50x20 38s are wrapped around 20x12 wheels. The exhaust is a Gibson Metal Mulisha cat-back with Gibson headers. There is a K&N Blackhawk cold air intake under the hood, land Wet Okole seat covers protect the seats inside. Tunes are from Memphis Car Audio's two 10-inch subs and amp. All exterior lighting was upgraded to LED from Diode Dynamics. Interior trim pieces were wrapped in 3M 1080 series vinyl to accent the interior further. Electrical connections are made easier with the sPOD source unit that adds six switched circuits with circuit breakers and voltage protection. Power comes from two OPTIMA red top batteries, while Iron Cross HD steps were added to make climbing in and out of the cab easier. R1 Concepts rotors and pads were added for increased stopping power, and MGP Caliper Covers dress up the stock calipers. Finally, a Kleinn Automotive Air Horn announces the truck's arrival. Shaun Freilich of Complete Customs, McKinney, Texas, couldn't say no to a project for THI and its Retrax retract- able truck bed cover line. Freilich designed the brand-new 2015 GMC HD Sierra using the concept of his 1968 GMC C10 project, and notes he'll be using the HD to tow the C10 to shows and events. Among the HD's upgrades are newly released 26-inch wheels from Specialty Forged Wheels, wrapped in Fuel Off-Road Mud Gripper 40x15.50x26 tires. A Bulletproof Suspension lifts the truck 12 inches in the front and rear, and features the company's new cantilever setup. A Wilwood Engineering big-brake kit provides stopping power, and the impressive GMC will include a number of interior, performance, exterior wrap and audio improve- ments as well. This year BedRug is bringing back its popular 2014 Toyota Tundra CrewMax project truck to the SEMA Show. "With all the great publicity we had in 2014- 2015, we wanted to expand on this great build," the company notes. Participants include: A.R.E.
