This fun, fast-paced show will
be held in the unique Rainey
Street district, which is itself an
example of urban renewal and Austin's creativity. We look forward to celebrating the entrepreneurs,
designers and citizens making a positive impact in their communities.
Oscar-nominated director Markus Imhoof tackles the vexing issue
of why bees, worldwide, are facing extinction. With the tenacity
of a man out to solve a world-class mystery, he investigates this
global phenomenon, from California to Switzerland, China and
Australia. Exquisite macro-photography of the bees (reminiscent
of Microcosmos) in flight and in their hives reveals a fascinating,
complex world in crisis. The screening will be followed by a Q&A
with Brandon Fehrenkamp, Texas Master Beekeeper. All attendees
will receive a card good for one free burrito, bowl, salad, or order of
tacos from Chipotle.
