I thought about gathering up some figures on exactly how much painted foam costs per square foot, but considering all of the variables and the differences in foam among fabricators, let's just say that the average square footage cost for the foam base is about half of what it would cost for traditional masonry. Installation Not Dependent Upon Weather When you work with foam, you control every aspect of the process, and regardless of the temperatures outside, there is no need to wait for a warm day to finish the monument base. Foam can be adhered to the base frame either in- shop, or in the field, in good weather and in cold temps. Another great example of how the foam can be customized to match the colors of the sign perfectly. Something that is nearly impossible to do with real stone.
