52 GOLD AND BLACK ILLUSTRATED Eifert, whose son Grady is a fresh- man walk-on for the 2015-16 Boil- ermakers and his other son Tyler is a standout tight end for the Cincin- nati Bengals. "I basically dropped everything to go down there and spend time with him." But, according to Eifert, it's the life lessons and stories that make it great to be around Keady. "He taught me that life and busi- ness is full of peaks and valleys and that advice I use every day," Eifert said. "And that has been good when dealing with the NFL success of Ty- ler. The lesson from Coach reminds me that it is OK to be excited about Tyler's success, but never get too high and never get too low." And the lessons can be as simple as making one's bed. Two-time All-Big Ten guard Troy Lewis remembers Keady putting "make your bed" on the chalk board before practice, and Lewis has lived by it ever since. "It is a daily reminder to do things right, especially when no one is watching," said Lewis, who enjoys a successful career in the grocery business near Dayton, Ohio. "I mean, why wouldn't you start your day that way?" Justin Jennings, a forward during Keady has a happy home life with Kathleen Petrie.
