n its first seven games, Purdue
rushed for 11 touchdowns.
Markell Jones, D.J. Knox,
Austin Appleby, David Blough and
Jarrett Burgess got the glory for
them, being the ones who held the
ball while crossing the goal line,
being the ones who were bum-
rushed after doing so, high-fived
and hugged and, even, literally lift-
ed up in celebration.

was one of the guys doing the bum-
rush, delivering a slap on the hel-
met or a congratulatory pat on the
back to the touchdown-producer.

Jason King has emerged in his junior season as one of Purdue's most consis-
tently solid players. Coach Darrell Hazell called the starting left guard a "rock"
and a "staple" up front.
