This interactive and easy-to-use website allows growers to research and understand irrigation and products before making a purchase. It also provides a place to go after an equipment purchase for specific instructions. The site houses an ever- increasing collection of short, online courses designed specifically to provide a better understanding of all things irrigation. Industry experts collaborated to create the training on topics ranging from basic center pivot operation and sprinkler selection to variable rate irrigation and GPS guidance. Engelbrecht Joins Irrigation Specialists Lindsay Corporation, maker of Zimmatic irrigation systems, announces the addition of Mike Engelbrecht as general manager of Irrigation Specialists, based in Pasco, Wash. Irrigation Specialists was established in 1970 and is one of the largest agricultural irrigation sales and service providers in the Pacific Northwest, with additional offices in Grandview and Othello, Wash., and Hermiston, Ore. The company, which has nearly 100 full-time and seasonal employees, sells center pivot and drip irrigation systems as well as residential irrigation parts. Brookside Agra Hires Agronomy Tech Brookside Agra has expanded its agronomy division with the addition of agronomy technician Karen Nehrkorn. Nehrkorn's responsibilities include soil testing, crop scouting for plant health and invasive weeds and pests, assisting with analysis and recommendations, organizing operations, coordinating customer accounts, and assisting with billing and data transfers.
