Aecom's Cameron Smith gave council his final update at a meeting Thursday night where he outlined the busy month ahead. This time around, the PIC will be in the base- ment of the Free Methodist Church from 5 to 8 p.m. As with the first one held Aug. 27 at North Crosby, it is a drop-in for- mat where citizens can review information boards and ask questions. The proposal is still heading toward the instal- lation of a filter bed so wastewater can be treated year round. Ideally, the use of the Snowfluent system or summer land applica- tion eventually wouldn't be required. Smith hopes to have the EA ready to submit to the province by Dec. 21, about a month behind the origi- nal schedule laid out last summer. The arms-length techni- cal steering committee met Tuesday and they have another pre-consultation meeting with the Ministry of the Environment and the Rideau Valley Conser- Westport wastewater open house set for Dec. 3 •Continued on back page
