Trent Zenkewicz (1992-95), from Cleveland, and Crable are tied for second among the Ohioans, and tied for 12th overall, with 16 career sacks each. Stanley notched 15 sacks from 1989-93, and stands 15th on Michigan's all-time list for career sacks. Henry entered the Penn State game with 9.5 career sacks, having picked up his pace considerably this season. He's closing in on another Cleveland Glenville product, Frank Clark, who posted 11 sacks in his Michigan career. In fact, Clark's success at Michigan helped influence Henry in his deci- sion to head north. "It was the teammates I went with, being different, and seeing some- thing in the coaching staff here at the University that I didn't see there," Henry said, talking about de- ciding between Michigan and Ohio State. "Frank Clark was a big key in my process of coming here. That 's somebody I knew and grew up playing football with. It's a comfort thing." Henry likes the numbers, and he certainly likes the fact that Michi- gan is playing at the highest level, defensively, since he's been here. He stops short of saying this is the most fun he's experienced in Ann Arbor, though. "It feels good that the defense is playing well," he said. "But I've had fun since I've been here. I enjoyed playing with the guys to the left and right of me, every year I've been here. "It feels better winning, but fun-wise, it's a great bunch of guys I've been play- ing with since I've been here. I've enjoyed every second." The same cannot be said about the quarterbacks he's been chasing with in- creasing effectiveness. Henry and his teammates are making their time in the pocket far less enjoyable than it might be otherwise. With a year of eligibility remaining, Henry could certainly challenge to crack Michigan's top-10 list for career sack men. That would put him at the top of those who emerged from the Buckeye State to don a winged helmet. — John Borton Mike Hammerstein leads all Ohio-native Wolverines with 17 sacks from 1982-85. If Henry has another campaign like 2015, he could take over the top spot. PHOTO COURTESY MICHIGAN ATHLETIC MEDIA RELATIONS
