FROM OUR READERS either one of those positions. How many games have been won or lost by a last-second field goal? The snapper, the kicker and the holder, in the case of a field goal try, have to get it right. Eleven men on the line of scrimmage, next time be sure everyone knows their assign- ment. Does the coach call a timeout (as- suming one is available, and I think there was)? I would think so, think- ing about it two days after the fact. During the game, would it have just added to the tension of the moment? I just don't know! Michigan led the whole game un- til the last play. The Michigan de- fense stopped Connor Cook, Aaron Burbridge and the rest of the Spar- tans on their final two possessions. Michigan out-rushed Michigan State 62-58, usually a factor, but not this time. Michigan's time of possession • Next year's out-of-conference schedule will tingle no toes. Hawaii, Central Florida and Colorado is about as dull and lackluster as it gets. It won't help us gain poll points, either, if needed for the Final Four. With Jim Harbaugh here, I see our OOC for 2016 as a blown opportunity to impress. Would this have been Bill Martin scheduling or someone else? This is where losing Notre Dame on the schedule really hurts. Wichita Blue • We play at Iowa, at MSU and at Ohio State. I'm okay with a few gimmes. jddeltake • Maybe we should play Utah on the road again instead. Ari1 • Nothing hurts you if you don't lose a game. Baylor still hasn't played a team with a winning record yet. And then if they end with no losses, they will be in. studed • With a new quarterback, linebackers and running back, we will need the time to jell. The schedule is no different than some of the cupcakes Alabama, Clemson, Texas A&M, LSU, MSU, etc. play. Let's score the style points first and then worry about the other stuff later on. vtwinryder • Exactly. Out of conference means nothing. Ohio State lost its only competi- tive out-of-conference game last year and look what happened. Win and you're in. It doesn't matter who you play out of conference. It only matters that you're in a respected conference, and I hate to say it, but the Big Ten owes the Buckeyes for bringing the conference back to elite status. thebrowndog From Our Website
