  MICHIGAN BASKETBALL think they'd ever seen anyone else who could shoot like him — and they were wrong. The only question was whether or not Robinson could do it on the big stage with the lights on. After get- ting shut out in the season opener Nov. 13 against Northern Michigan, Robinson put on one of the better shooting performances in recent U-M history in only his second game as a Wolverine. Robinson made all six of his shots, including five from three-point range, and both of his free throws in Michigan's 88-68 win over Elon Nov. 16 in the mainland portion of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. Of his five three-pointers, maybe one hit any part of the rim. "Coach [Jeff] Meyer always says good shooting teams are good pass- ing teams," Robinson said humbly. "My teammates found me open a lot, which is big. I was the one mak- ing the shots, and that's just good offense." His teammates, though, know better. Robinson has shattered all of Stauskas' shooting records in prac- tice, and his fellow Wolverines were waiting to see it in a game. Robinson was the only player who didn't score in his time on the floor Friday against Northern Michigan, but he put up 13 of his 19 points in the first half alone against Elon. Robinson camped out on the left side and made Elon pay when they left him alone.
