Peabody Essex Museum antiques: This Federal period Lolling-style chair, circa 1800, has a matching ottoman with horsehair upholstery. Baker Sutton Antiques: A cast-iron doorstop reflects the interests of its original owner; this riding boot-themed piece was likely owned by an equestrian enthusiast in the mid-20th century. Andrew Spindler Antiques: 14-year-old Lydia Mudge created this hand-drawn U.S. map in 1831—Andrew Spindler displays the piece in his shop hanging with its original wooden bars.
