Player Profiles Albert Ellis, Co-Captain An experienced horseman, Albert grew up hunting and three-day event riding at Myo- pia before becoming a polo player. In his polo career, Albert has played in many tournaments as a 2-goal player. He lives in Gloucester with his wife Anne-Sey- mour and their three daughters. (1 T goal) Franz Colloredo-Mansfeld, Co-Captain A lifelong fox hunter and rider, Franz won the New England Field Hunter Trials in 2009 and won this event at the Myopia Hunter Trials in 2007 and 2008. Following the lead of his sons, Franz took up polo a couple of years ago and now sponsors the Black Oak team. Franz is President and CEO of Cabot Properties, a commercial real estate invest- ment firm headquartered in Boston. Barrett Coke One of Myopia's youngest play- ers, Barrett, 14, rounds out the Coke family team. He started riding at age three and playing polo at age 10 in Myopia's junior program. Last summer, he played competitively on the Coco Light team with his brother, Hamilton. Barrett attends Shore Country Day School and enjoys soccer, squash, lacrosse, and free- style skiing. (1 goal) Hamilton Coke Having watched his father play at Myopia for most of his life, Hamilton, 16, a graduate of the club's junior polo program, was thrilled to join his father on the fields last season as a member of the Coco Light team. Hamilton is a recent graduate of Shore Country Day School and will attend Brooks School in the fall. An avid athlete, he plays lacrosse and soccer and loves freestyle skiing. He looks forward to a competitive season of polo alongside his father and brother. (1 goal) Bill Coke A Myopia player since the early 1990s, Bill is known for his fast horses, competitive play, and uncanny nearside forehands. He is a spirited team player and has spon- sored teams in Aiken, S.C., and frequently during the summer season at Myopia. A managing director with JP Morgan, Bill lives in Topsfield with his wife, Wendy, and sons, Hamilton and Barrett. (1 goal) Carlos Coles Carlos manages his fam- ily's polo farm with his wife, Nikki, and daughter, Padan. Pond Hill Farm is host to their string of polo ponies and its four rental properties. The family still works together with Carlos's father, Charlie Coles, Sr., a Myopia Equestrian Legend, for the Hydroflight Foil System LLC, a high-speed rough-water boat technology. 18 Myopia polo 2011 who to watch this season Johann Colloredo-Mansfeld Johann is a rising junior at Groton School, where the versatile athlete plays soccer and squash and rows. Johann is also a passionate ski racer. He has won Maine state championships in giant slalom and has competed on regional and national levels in giant slalom and slalom events. Johann is a graduate of Myopia's junior polo program. Seppi Colloredo-Mansfeld Seppi is a standout junior at Yale, where he is a member of the nationally ranked Light- weight Crew Team. Seppi is the captain of the Yale polo team, one of the oldest intercollegiate polo teams in the country. He is a graduate of Groton School and grew up on the family farm, Black Oak, in Hamilton. Simon Colloredo-Mansfeld A rising freshman at Groton School, Simon plays numer- ous sports, including soccer, squash, alpine racing, and lacrosse. A talented horseman, Simon has hunted for the past three seasons with the Myopia Hunt and is a graduate of the junior polo program at Myopia. Bob Daniels An enthusiastic player at every level of the game, Bob is patron of the Pony Express
