We have a wealth of information inside to guide you through the details of your special day. And new this year are the Best of the North Shore Wedding Awards! We are excited to bring you both editors' and readers' choices for the soup to nuts of weddings. Check out page 74 to see who won for the best dress shop, caterer, cake, and more! Along with great advice and winning picks for all things wedding, we also photographed bridal fashions (page 148) at the mansion at Turner Hill in Ipswich. The 1920s brick mansion has architectural detailing throughout its stately rooms that rivals any great manor house that I have ever visited. The "Downton Abbey" vibe became the perfect backdrop for the classic gowns. We had a terrific team in place to create the spectacular images—from creative director Ryan Jolley to makeup artist David Nicholas to hair stylist Lynne Avallone to stylist Julie Paquette to the newcomer to our stable of photographers Jessica Weiser. And, of course, our supermodel, Jessica Carter who braved the frigid Novem- ber day for these spring 2016 fashions. A special thank you to Turner Hill for the use of the mansion, as well as Tesoro Boston and Royal Jewelers for stunning diamonds that completed the bride-to-be looks. We also had fun delving into travel for this issue, bringing you an idea for a tropical destination wedding—Captiva Island off the Gulf Coast of Florida. We also travel to other spots that differ greatly from our hometown stomping grounds. Writer Alexandra Pecci takes a fun approach to her piece on Santa Fe, relaying the story of her trip through the souvenirs she had purchased, while Calvin Hennick takes us to two polar opposite tourist destinations. Although both islands, Ireland and Curaçao, could not be more different in terms of history, culture, climate, cuisine, and terrain. But one thing these places do have in common is unyielding hospitality. We hope you have as much fun reading our Best of the North Shore Wed- ding issue as we had putting it together!
