AKEEM HUNT It took Akeem Hunt until Week 11 this season to find a home in the NFL, when Houston signed him off its practice squad. But since, he's gotten a chance with the Texans, serving as a backup running back and part-time return man. In the five games after he signed, Hunt had 65 rushing yards on 12 carries, averaging 5.4 per attempt, with four receptions. But it was thought that his role could expand, given that he was one of the fastest on the Texans' roster — a 40 time in the 4.35 range — with playmaking ability. Not a bad place to be for the undrafted rookie. DREW BREES As of mid-December, Drew Brees was close to be- coming only the fourth NFL quarterback to reach 60,000 yards passing — he had 59,827 through Dec. 20 — behind only Peyton Manning (71,871), Brett Favre (71,838) and Dan Marino (61,361). In Week 14 this season, Brees moved into fourth all-time in passing touchdowns, and now has 421, just behind Tom Brady's 427, with Manning (539) and Favre (508) out front. Brees is set to reset a couple Houston Texans #33 RB Akeem Hunt Brees Hunt Cleveland Browns #41 RB Raheem Mostert — Kyle Charters
